Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. It is widely believed that she was the one who starting the modern scientific study of children's eyewitness memory and child victimes as witness in court circumstances. Professor Goodman is a prolific author and has been awarded many awards and grants. She has advised many administrations and agencies across all over the world on policy and studies pertaining to child victims in the justice system. She currently acts as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a member of several professional associations, including that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the head of the American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families policy and practice.
